Mrs. La‑Tanya E. Carter, Chief Executive Officer of There Is Hope Foundation, Inc., holds a Master of Science in Mental Health and Wellness and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Human Resources. Her early work with a local religious charitable organization strengthened her leadership skills and deepened her commitment to serving marginalized communities.
In 2019, Mrs. Carter founded There Is Hope Foundation, Inc. (501c3) in Petersburg, Virginia, guided by a divine mandate to “handle the stress of school children.” Under her leadership, the Foundation adopted Lakewood Elementary School and expanded its outreach to several elementary schools in Prince George, Virginia, providing consistent support through back‑to‑school initiatives, holiday programs, and winter assistance.
Through year‑round donations and community partnerships, Mrs. Carter has established the Foundation as a trusted source of stability, compassion, and hope for children and families across the region.
